NOTES: On Economics

First, let me say Happy New Year!

OK, I have a problem.

I love capitalism.

In fact I first started writing online in 2005, with thoughts of earning an income this way, (LOL!).

And yet, its unfortunate that when people think of capitalism they don’t think of the whole the population of a country as fellow capitalists.

I naively did.

But by not acknowledging the working class fellow capitalists, the economic system comes with it’s built in doom.

Workers are also capitalists.

Denying workers their earned profits is really another term: feudalism.

I do hope all have a prosperous New Year.

NOTES: On Free Will

First, do we have free will?

Or are the atheists and scientists right?
That what we refer to as free will simply an illusion of our evolution?

And if it exist, is free will a gift from the Gods?

When I think of free will, I also think about who I am, and how having, (or not having) a free will benefits me.

As a philosopher, I consider myself the lowest of mules, and that I rather suck at it.

But I prefer and practice self determination, which I think requires it.

And even if it’s a fantasy found in some holy book, or a concept created to keep the masses in check and subservient, I would suggest that free will is still a must.

Why?

Because among other things, free will allows me to question, well everything, and to use things like logic and observations.

Furthermore, I think free will is real, even if only as a tool like a hammer or pulley.

And to suggest it doesn’t exist, or that it’s irrelevant, robs people blind.

I mean, what would be the reason for laws, or courts?

Who is responsible if insurrectionists who assaulted the US Capitol do not have to see justice because they lacked free will?

Naw, those examples are small potatoes.

What about empowerment or enlightenment?

Free will is a wonderful tool.

I suggest everyone be aware of theirs’ and use it.

For Micheal and Dad, a poem of mourning.

My brother, my brother!
Please be at peace!

I wonder how you’re doing,
Having faith that you
still exist.

Be not in turmoil,
Or surfer our father’s death.

Dad is strong,
and I hope you are
at peace with him.

You’re both gone,
but you are forever in my
Heart.

I love you both,
and sometimes long to
be with you.

Peace.

(My brother passed away in the ’90’s, and my Dad in 2005. I still in mourning. Based on a dream this morning)

The many faces of Aku, a poem.

An evil shape shifting demon,
On a planet not so far
Away,
wanted complete domination
and souls of everyone.

He infested the worlds’
money,
so that all are enslaved
and that few will rise….

His lies becomes truth
in the weak minded….

He exploints differences
and cheats.

But there are weapons
that has defeated him.

Unsoiled Hearts.

Naked Truth.

Logic and Reason.
That he looks like Us….

Inspired by Aku of the cartoon, Samuri Jack.

11.29.2021

I’ve hit another dry spell….

I watched George Floyd die, over and over again.

Has any of YOU watched it?

Until you do, you may never understand where I’m coming from.

If you have never been discriminated against for the color of your skin, or for your spiritual preference or sexual orientation, then you do not understand my reasoning for war.

But war need not be physically violent.

For instance, I bet all those officers were very good Christians, and that people should stand against a religion like that.

Or you can stand against the economic system that supports and upholds white supremecy.

I stand against a legal system that let supremacists off with not guilty verdicts after killing unarmed protesters, or willingly try to overthrow a democratic government.

I do not think it is prudent to date white folks or Christians, (or Muslims or Jewish), especially if they do nothing to change this status quo.

Hmm….maybe it’s time to be celibate.

10.07.2021(?)

No, this isn’t really poetry, which is why there’s a date as title.

I write a post like this because I lack the confidence in giving you the reader my thoughts.

If you are a US citizen, you should have plenty of reasons to worry about the state of this country, and what conservatives and the Christian right are doing. Oops, I forgot our corporations, can’t count those folks out!

Why?

Because if you do not care you should.

Because sooner than later, your rights will be taken too.

I only have to point out the fact that these….folks do not use facts or are not humanitarians, and are using religion, ignorance and hate to send the US and the world back a hundred-fifty years.

So, do I care?

Yes, of course I care.

And no, because I see stupidity as part of a greater learning curve, and that humanity deserves to go extinct.

I say good riddance to an advance species if they can not love and care for each other.

So I’m fine with watching Rome burn.

However, it gotten boring watching the world literally and figuratively burn, and that I should allow my heart to care.

And if you are not a US citizen, and live somewhere else.

I have this warning:

Watch your backs.

If you are ‘friend’ of the US of A, don’t count on that friendship to back you.

And if you’re an ‘enemy’, why you can watch the US of A burn to the ground, but it would mean that your number is up next.

We live on only one planet humanity, so stop fucking it up.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Eugene Hardy

Critic in the backroom, a poem.

‘I did it!,
I did it!
I’ve gone celibate!’

(Ah, that’s what you say
to all the guys and gals!
then next Tuesday it’s off
to the orgies again!)

‘Do you dought me?’

I’m free of being sexually
attached,
free to explore….anything….

(But liar, you’re not gonna
miss phalluses and vaginas?’

The pleasure?

The worship?

The touch of flesh?)

Now you be quiet Eugene in the backroom,
or I’ll be free of you too!

I love science fiction, and will likely die loving science fiction. But the thing about science fiction is that it intends to be a crystal ball of the future.

And of late, that crystal ball isn’t showing a good picture.

The thought of there still being a gulf of income inequality and poverty disturbs me, that people should live and die this way, regardless of color or religion.

And yeah, that politics and wealth will ensure that those very same people’s deaths occurs.

Worse of all, you can turn people into sheep and lemmings, but that you can not keep people that way.

People eventually remember that they are people, and begin to think for themselves.

History has shown that when people wake up there is a revolution of some kind.

But what if tbat wake up call never comes, and that poverty and inequality grows?

Then I would hope that humanity ceases to exist soon, so that this no longer continues.

I would rather starve to death in my poverty and inequality.

Truth

Should I give them up my pockmarked truths? (Each scar-shamed one.)   Are they deemed too blunt and ugly, now? (Although hard-won.)   As if uneartheddirt-bound like postholes underabandoned ancient sites which only speak to usin ash.   In charcoal’s black. From lives undone. By sufferingsthat came on fast. Remorselessly unjust.   And where (however muchits […]
